City of Blackwell adds Care Van to Community-Wide Health Fair March 25
The City of Blackwell will host a Community-Wide Health Fair on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, bringing together residents, health professionals and community organizations for a full day focused on health, wellness and quality of life.
The free public event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Blackwell Event Center, 800 S. Main St. Vendor setup will begin at 8 a.m. The fair is open to individuals and families of all ages and is designed to connect the community with local and regional resources that support physical, mental and social well-being.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of services, educational materials and outreach programs offered by health-related businesses, nonprofits, social service agencies, wellness providers and other community partners.
One of the featured participants at this year’s health fair will be the Oklahoma Caring Foundation, which will be onsite with its Oklahoma Caring Van Program. The Caring Van Program provides no-cost immunizations to children and adolescents, helping protect them from dangerous illnesses while removing common barriers such as cost, transportation and access to traditional health care settings. Since launching in October 1999, the program has delivered immunizations to thousands of children statewide through registered immunization nurses aboard the Caring Vans. All immunization records are entered into the Oklahoma State Immunization Information System, ensuring families and providers have easy access to accurate vaccine histories. The Caring Vans regularly travel to licensed child care centers, schools and community locations across Oklahoma.
The city is currently seeking vendors interested in participating in the event. Vendor space is provided at no cost and includes room for displays, handouts and interactive outreach activities. Health-related organizations, programs and service providers are encouraged to apply.
Food vendors are also invited to participate to provide meals and refreshments for attendees throughout the day.
Vendors interested in participating are asked to express their interest by March 16. For more information or to sign up, contact City of Blackwell representatives at 580-363-0300 or by email at dday@blackwellok.gov
.
City officials say the health fair is an opportunity for the community to come together and promote a healthier Blackwell through access to information, services and support.
A healthy Kay County requires great community news.
